Eileen Leitch left Scotland in 1988 after completing her Ph.D. in marine biology, to work for Ontario Hydro in Canada.  Several years later, her life-long passion for animals compelled her to design and build ‘The Pet Hotel’, a luxury pet-boarding hotel.  Although highly successful, after 12 years she knew it was time to make yet another change.  With the support of her husband, she decided to move back to                  Chris and Eileen at Knockdhu Distillery Scotland.

Chris Brousseau, was a senior fisheries biologist for the Government of Ontario. His love of all things Scottish, mainly single malt whisky, bag-piping, hill-walking, fly-fishing and golf stimulated him to make the big move over to Scotland.  Chris is currently employed as Chivas Brothers archivist where he enjoys recording the history of the greatest whiskies in the world. He also helps out at the visitor centres at Aberlour, Strathisla and The Glenlivet when required.  Chris left a large and loving family behind, including his daughter and beautiful wee grand-daughters, in order to fufill his Scottish dream with his wife Eileen.

Both Chris and Eileen are very excited about their new venture and are genuinely honoured to welcome you into their home.
